Seorang pemuda berusia 21 tahun bernama Josh Fancher sudah sejak dulu menggilai kegiatan fotografi, termasukmakro, alam liar, fotografi malam, pemandangan alam dan kota, serta fotografi arsitektur. Kali ini ia membuat seri foto tetesan air, terinspirasi oleh fotografi tetesan air yang dibuat oleh Martin Waugh.
Josh memulai hobinya ini sejak Desember 2007, dan menggunakan lensa Micro Nikkor 105mm untuk tetesan air, bersama sepasang flash Nikon SB 600. Pada kesempatan berikutnya ia menggunakan alat StopShot, yang jauh memudahkan timing. Sebelum itu, timing dilakukan secara manual, dengan sebuah penetes mata, koordinasi mata-tangan, dan banyak kesabaran.
